Bio:

One of the biggest challenge was fighting the perceived undesirability of being an artist. With art studies in Montréal, Toronto and Honolulu, private commissions in Montréal, Quebec and Ottawa, gallery representation, multiple group and solo shows and 20 years of art practice. I can say the challenge has been overcome.

Artist Statement:

“Tourment”, is a portrait of the artist sculptor Alberto Giacometti. Of interest with Giacometti is the tension and battle he had between what he saw and what his hands made. This portrait is expressing anguish, alienation, the anxiety of solitude and the fear of death that seemed to plague him.
