Matt Walker is an artist from Hamilton, Ontario. His practice looks to object making as a metaphorical and narrative craft with the belief that objects have a fundamental ability to communicate, teach us about our relationship to place and generate an understanding of ourselves in relationship to our community and environment.

Artist Statement:

Our bodies can reveal things about the world that the mind may struggle to comprehend on its own. This form of consciousness reveals that there are deeper ways of understanding ourselves and our world. With this, I wonder, what the other bodies that inhabit our world may understand of it.
